The vestibular system constitutes the organs of the inner ear concerned with balance and spatial orientation and the parts of brain involved in processing this information and controlling eye movements.

There are many possible causes of vestibular disorders, some of the most commonly diagnosed being Vestibular Neuritis, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and Vestibular Hypofunction. These disorders can affect your balance and orientation resulting in sensations of spinning, rocking, motion sensitivity, imbalance and nausea.
Vestibular rehabilitation aims to restore normal functioning either through mechanical repositioning techniques or exercises to retrain balance systems and enable the brain to compensate for any changes to the functioning of the inner ear.
